Frank Winslow is the owner and proprietor of the The Point at Glenwood. After leaving a successful career as a professional airline pilot, he decided to follow a life long love of cooking. His favorite past time on his off days from the airline was creating new dishes to serve his family and friends. Always a great host for parties, he entertains with ease. So upon leaving his first love of flying he decided to pursue his second love, food and entertaining, thus a new restaurant in his own neighborhood was born. A place where he can meet old friends and make new friends, while creating and serving new dishes for all to enjoy. |

Cecelia Winslow is the lady behind the scenes who makes our restaurant a success. As our Administrative Manager, office guru, and general mother/sister figure, she keeps us all in balance financially (and behaviorally)! After graduating from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with an undergraduate degree in economics, she went on to receive her MBA from Wake Forest University. While she has an impressive professional career, Cecelia has truly distinguished herself in her service to the people of North Carolina. She has served in various positions with organizations such as The Junior League of Raleigh, the N.C. Museum of History, and the N.C. Museum of Art Society, just to name a few. |
Alan Phillips moved to North Carolina eleven years ago bringing with him a rich experience in culinary arts. Before becoming The Point's Chef, Alan honed his culinary skills at numerous private clubs; such as Columbus Country Club and the prestigious Petroleum Club of Houston. Alan then proceeded South to work with Southland Management and did a three year tour at resorts throughout Mexico. Alan's culinary skills range from Southwestern to French with a time spent training with Tony Zuccarelli perfecting his skills at classic Italian fare. But Alan's extensive restaurant knowledge doesn't end in the kitchen! Alan has held the position of General Manager for many companies; such as, Brinker Int'l, Cantina del Rio, Desmar Corp. and Yancy's! |
